How to book psychological therapy?
Virginia is currently seeing clients via Telehealth or in-person at Launch Psychology in Essendon, Melbourne. Appointments can be booked via phone on 1800 403 123 or through the website www.launchpsychology.com.au
What is the cost for neuropsychological assessment?
Neuropsychological assessment fees vary depending on the complexity and scope of the assessment required (e.g., diagnostic screening versus comprehensive cognitive profiling). A fixed quote covering clinical interview, testing, scoring, and report preparation will be provided following an initial consultation.
How do Medicare rebates work?
If you have a Mental Health Care Plan and a referral from your GP, you are eligible for a Medicare rebate of $101.55 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Please note that neuropsychological assessments are currently not covered by Medicare rebates.
Can I use my private health insurance?
Most private health funds offer rebates for psychological services depending on your level of cover. We recommend contacting your provider directly to confirm your specific entitlements. Please note that you cannot claim both a Medicare rebate and a private health rebate for the same session.
What payment options are available?
Payments is required on the day of your appointment. We accept all major credit cards and bank transfers. For therapy sessions under a Mental Health Care Plan, your Medicare rebate will be processed electronically with reimbursement to your nominated account.
What is the cancellation policy?
We require at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice or non-attendance will attract the full session fee. Medicare rebates are not available for cancellation fees.
